Smashed Potatoes

Having seen multiple variations of these on Instagram, I decided to give them a try. I’ve made them several times now as they were a hit. Here is what I did:

  1. Boil small potatoes for 20 min.
  2. Smash with a potato masher
  3. Let them steam for 5-10 minutes (letting them dry a bit like this makes them crispier)
  4. Top with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper (an alternate seasoning is butter, salt, pepper and parsley)
  5. Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 min or until crispy
