New Plant Stand

I am pretty excited about my new Ikea plant stand for the kitchen. It gets the plants up to the level of the window, without making an inviting horizontal surface for kitties to lay on (though these are all non-toxic to the furry inhabitants). It is well suited to small plants, especially those that trail down. From the top down I filled it with Burro’s Tail, Peperomia argyreia (Watermelon peperomia), Easter cactus, Hoya camosa, and Peperomia obtusifolia. I can’t wait to see these grow and fill in the space.

P.S. the burlap bag is hosting some basil seedlings.
