We have had a hot and glorious summer so far (24-34 degrees C most days)! This made me crave the rhubarb cordial I make for refreshing summertime drinks. Alas, I have not yet planted rhubarb in our new garden, so decided to use what we DO have to make some tangy, cooling drinks. I ended up making four different syrup bases – mint, lavender, rose, and ginger. I didn’t grow the ginger, but there is usually some in the kitchen. Everyone picked a different favourite, but is happy to drink any of them. So…next week will be Non Alcoholic Drinks Week on Everyday Cheer – ready your glasses!

Yes, I know, I know! Haha. We don’t have space for the large gardens we had at our old home so we thought we’d just wait a year and plant what we missed the most. Rhubarb made the list!
