One of the pleasures of moving into a new house is the blank slate available for decorating. The wood shelf on the wall in this room made me think of a boardwalk at the beach and I was inspired to add a few beach-y touches to the room. Small transformations such as this make the place seem like our home, instead of a new house. Our last en suite featured ferns, so this is a nice change.
I added some shells collected on holidays, and a glass fish in lava that I bought on Maui.
A few bits of blue to continue the theme. Not a lot to move when cleaning, but enough to remind us of warm holidays.
