This is one of my favourite pasta salad variations. We eat it as a main course because it is filling.
200 g pasta shells
1 head of broccoli, cut into smallish pieces
a basket of cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 lb cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
Cook the pasta shells as per the package instructions, rinse in cold water. Add the rest of the ingredients and toss with dressing.
Dressing:
1/2 cup Miracle Whip (or mayonnaise)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. dried dill
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. onion powder
pinch of salt
a few good grinds of peppercorns
Stir together and pour over pasta salad.
