My husband’s sister and brother-in-law make a variety of alcohols at home. They recently completed a blackberry port and gave us a bottle with instructions to let it sit a couple months. Last week we got a call saying “open it outside, quickly, ours re-fermented and blew the corks! On the upside, it is delicious.” I took a photo to show that my husband escaped the opening with all this fingers intact 🙂
To our delight we found the port to be fruity, smooth, fragrant, and fantastically flavourful. In short: Very Fine!
