Eclair de Lune is a cute French Bakery/market in Calgary with a good assortment of pastries. There was a small line up at morning opening, which I always think is a good sign of things to come. As we are still on a quest to find the best almond croissant in Calgary, that is what we tried. We found the pastry to be slightly more bread-like, though with lots of layers. There was almond filling, but it was light on almond flavour. Good effort, but I am still hunting….

We also tried a lemon tart here, which was good, but without the sharp pucker of lemon we like with any sort of meringue. Very prettily made though, and I would not be at all disappointed if someone set this in front of me!
