My husband and I recently had dinner at Crazyweed in Canmore, Alberta. The food was surprisingly innovative and delicious. We were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the mountain views and fresh air as well. The photo above is of Moroccan spiced lamb chops with smoky baba ganoush, with a side of roasted butternut squash fattoush. It was a real flavour treat.
Although their wine list was extensive (and I really do mean extensive as the wine list was a multi pound tomb), we opted to try Magner’s Irish Apple Cider, which was really fruity and light.
As for the dessert, my husband, who usually shies away from chocolate, was swayed by the fact it was bathed in a warm chai foam. The chocolate itself was a rich, dark ganache and was topped with toasted coconut. The chocolate and chai were surprisingly complimentary to each other.
Crazyweed, until next time…
