Ear buds and hot stoves do not mix well, so I love the Bose speaker my husband bought me for the kitchen. As I make dinner I can listen to all sorts of CBC podcasts from programs I missed during the day, or put on a favourite cooking playlist such as Spanish dance tunes or for something more mellow, some Nora Young. A current favourite is the soundtrack to The Hundred Yard Journey. It is a fusion of French/Indian themes to match the movie. Some food for my ears while I make food for the rest of us. Woo!
