These patties are a summer staple at our house, and are a favourite food for picnics and hikes. Although I call them burgers, we never eat them in a bun. Just on their own; either hot off the grill, or cold, with our hands, from a picnic cooler.
700g ground chicken (I buy thighs and grind them)
a little handful of chives, chopped
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 cup feta cheese, broken
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Form into patties. I made six with the amount above. Oil a pan and cook either on a BBQ grill or frying pan. I put these on the BBQ grill on a sheet pan. I like the nice, browned flavour from the cooked feta.
