Amaryllis Update

Here is an update on my amaryllis post. “Red Lion” lives up to its name: large, red, and fierce. It started to bloom the day I took down our Christmas decorations, which excited me greatly. When I was photographing it, I noticed that if I zoomed in, the photo looked very tropical, which was lovely given our -29 C wind chill outdoors. Beautiful.

“Red Lion” grew very tall and straight. Once the stalk started shooting up, it grew 2 cm or more per day. So fun to watch.
