Well, here is the last of the garden produce from this growing season. I dug up the last of our carrots, and look what we found. The large yellow one was named “Tiny” and promptly roasted with some olive oil and salt.
I love how carrots come out of the garden looking earthy and a little plain, and when washed, turn into a shiny cylinder that begs to be consumed. I love the smell they give off when being scrubbed as well. You could say that they “clean up well”!
Very nice! It’s always such a surprise digging carrots or potatoes. Very satisfying. And I have the same peeler – love it.
