Stuffed peppers are an “old fashioned” food idea, but they are also very tasty. Here is the recipe:
500 grams pork
500 grams beef
1/3 cup rice
1 egg
half an onion, minced
2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
700 ml tomato puree
200 ml water
several small peppers
Mix the meat, rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper. Slice the top off the pepper and clean out the seeds and ribs. Make a cut across the bottom of the pepper so it will sit flat. Stuff the peppers with the meat mixture. Mix the tomato puree with the water and pour over the peppers. Cover with foil. Bake in the oven for an hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
