These are the three books I most enjoyed reading last month.
First Ladies
First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil right activist Mary McLeod Bethune (The First Lady of the Struggle) begin to change the course of race relations in the USA due to an unlikely friendship in the 1930’s.

Winter Solstice
Three groups of people who have all suffered recent losses end up in an inherited house in Scotland for Winter Solstice and Christmas. They help each other refashion their lives and find new connection.

Dear Miss Bird
Emmy, a young English woman with goals of being a war correspondent in World War 2 accidently finds employment at a women’s magazine where she must type out letters for a cranky advice columnist who doesn’t reply to any serious questions. Emmy begins to secretly reply to the “unacceptable” letters. This is the first book in a series of three (to date).

I’ve loved two of these so will add the third to my TBR. ❤️
