Shepherd’s Pie is comfort food for me. Simple too. There are loads of variations, but this is my basic version. I forgot to take a photo of the finished dish as we got carried away with the eating of it!
1 lb. ground beef (or lamb)
5 diced carrots
1 cup frozen peas
4-5 potatoes, mashed
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 1/2 cups leftover gravy (I had some from a beef roast)
Sauté the carrots. Brown the beef. Mix everything together except the mashed potatoes. Pour in a shallow casserole. Spread the potatoes over the top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about an hour.
