Warm Winter

Thus far, we have had an unusually warm and dry winter, and the snow has long departed. Every few years we can thank El Niño for this phenomenon. This year my tulips have sprung to life in February! The usual for them to peek through the earth is late April so they are a full 2 months early. We are trying not get ahead of ourselves thinking spring is here in case temperatures drop back down to -30 and kill everything, but you can’t live life holding your breath. So… walking under deep blue skies feeling the warm sun on my face feels like Grace. And I am thankful indeed.
