Edelweiss is one of my favourite ethnic shops in Calgary. They import German, Dutch and Scandinavian foods and products of all sorts. Christmas is one of my favourite times to visit the store, as it has the BEST selection of marzipan, chocolate and cookies perfect for filling stockings.
They have recently renovated and have a bit more room for displays, which is great. They also have a restaurant and bakery – good luck walking by that lot. I usually load up at the cold meat and cheese display, but it was being swarmed this visit, so I didn’t make it there. Here is their website. If you are in the Calgary area, it is well worth a stop.
