One of my oldest (length of friendship, not age of woman) friends and I went to the Saskatoon Farm to pick strawberries in their U-Pick area last Saturday. I love picking berries while chatting, and have spent many happy hours doing it. In just over an hour we had 4 buckets to call our own, and not a mosquito bite between us.
It was a hot day so before we headed home to make jam and freeze berries, we decided a drink and dessert in the café would be just the thing. Saskatoon pie for me, apple-Saskatoon crisp for her. Life can be very sweet 🙂
