My sister -in-law and I recently enjoyed lunch at Bistro 1882 in Okotoks. It is located in what used to be the Sheep Creek post office in 1882, hence the name. In these parts, that is an old building. I love that it has maintained the original siding.
Inside, the seating is intimate and casual, but something a bit special. The service is always friendly and helpful, and the food, in French style, is delicious. I always feel as though I have all the time in the world when I eat there, as dining should feel.
We shared the crab dip to start, then E had the Reuben special, and I had the croque-monsieur. Both were yummy.
The best, however, was served last: a fantastic Pavlova and an Espresso Creme Brûlée. Woo!
