The eighth day of our advent countdown features Nutcrackers. They are one of the many Germanic Christmas Traditions that have made their way into our Christmas celebrations, mostly thanks to Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. That, and a rather well-known ballet 😉 I have always liked them.
We have a nook in the kitchen that contained a large fish tank when we originally viewed the house. Not wanting a fish tank or TV (its original function) in the kitchen, I have tried various schemes to make it interesting, but at Christmas, it is an easy choice – my nutcracker collection! Counting down!
