I love to make dried orange decorations at Christmas. The smell of the drying oranges smells like the start of the holiday season. In previous years I have made strings of oranges with spices and beads, tree ornaments and have used the slices in evergreen arrangements etc. For instructions on the drying process, see this previous post. https://everydaycheerblog.com/2022/11/20/dried-orange-decorations/

This year I wanted to made a wreath for the kitchen window. I bought an inexpensive wreath frame at Dollarama and hot glued sprigs of cedar (another great scent) to it. I topped this with two rows of oranges slices and added a ribbon so I can hang it. I am really pleased with the result.
Another change this year was using the dehydrator to dry the slices. I would say this and the oven are equally good at drying the oranges, but as it takes a few hours, I enjoyed having the oven freed up during the process.
