indoor/outdoor Succulents

I have a strong attraction for succulents. They are so forgiving and they come in a variety of interesting shapes and colours. Sometimes when you bring succulents back indoors for winter, they lose condition after a few months and start to look worse for wear. Don’t lose hope! Just clean them up, take cuttings and renew the arrangement.

Here they are this spring, and ready to put back outside for the summer! One of them even developed these beautiful blooms!

Look how they filled out the pot, growing in size and developing truer colours. Below is the pot a year ago, just after planting the cuttings.

In the rectangle pot, I decided to go for all one type (above), as it was the one that wanted to thrive for me after the winter die back (see the photo below). All the cuttings took, so it is looking pretty good. I can’t wait to see how it will perform when it’s been in the sun and heat for a couple months.

It is always rewarding to see a planter go from pretty pathetic, to a thriving concern. Cheers!
