Chili

Sometimes a crockpot of something plentiful and hot is just the ticket. On Sunday we had a family over to decorate Easter eggs. With all that creativity flowing, no one wants to stop to make food. Having some chili in the crockpot, a loaf of fresh bread, and a salad is easy and delicious. There are loads of ways to make chili. This is my standard.

2 lbs. ground beef
3 orange or yellow peppers, diced
1 onion, diced
1360 ml crushed tomatoes
2 cans black beans
4 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. salt

Brown the beef, add the rest and simmer in a pot for 30 minutes, or pour in a slow cooker and let simmer as long as you want.
