Asian Turkey Cups 


These are tasty and fun.

24 won ton wrappers
700 grams ground turkey
1 Tbsp. oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, finely diced
2 Tbsp. ginger, grated
3 green onions, sliced
1 can water chestnuts, drain and dice
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tsp. sriracha (optional)
1 1/2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
salt and pepper

Make cups with the won ton wrappers by fitting 2 in each cup of a muffin tin – one in each direction so it looks like a flower. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-14 minutes until lightly browned. They will firm up as they cool.

To make the filling, heat the oil in a pan and add the turkey. Cook until browned. Add the onions, garlic and ginger. Cook until softened. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat through.

Fill cups with this mixture and serve. Both components can be made ahead of time – just don’t fill the cups until you are ready to serve so the cups remain crispy.
