One Lovely Blog Award

ONELOVELYBLOG

I have been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award by Cynthia at handmade. homegrown. beautiful life. Thank you, Cynthia! What a lovely surprise that was! I was not familiar with the concept, so had to look it up online. There is some variation, but these are the particulars if you accept the nomination:

* Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
* Add the One Lovely Blog logo to your post and list the rules
* Share 7 interesting facts about yourself.
* Nominate 10-15 blogs you admire

Thanking handmade. homegrown. beautiful life
is my pleasure. Cynthia has one of my favourite blogs. Every time I view one of her posts, I come away feeling inspired, contented, excited to try something, or enriched for having visited. That is a cheerful thing.

Seven Interesting Facts About Myself
Well, people are rarely the best judge of what others will find interesting about themselves, but here I go:

1 – I love the quiet of winter. I love what the cold weather brings with it – deep silence.

2 – I have sung in choirs most of my adult life – soprano. I love the way all our different voices come together to form one beautiful sound that none of us could make alone. We highlight the best of each other, and hearing the result of that makes my hairs stand on end in a very good way.

3 – I once had to bury 500 chickens that were mauled/scared to death by a roaming dog that dug into their coop.

4 – I wear Birkenstock sandals at home. Always.

5 – I love to organize drawers and closets.

6 – I have been married for 24 years and have two daughters that I admire and adore.

7 – Flowers are one of my favourite things. Plumeria flowers might just be my favourite, but I love the variety of colours, shapes and fragrances flowers bring to the world.

As for 10-15 other blogs that I enjoy visiting, I chose an even dozen that I always enjoy! These are in no particular order and I hope that you will enjoy them too.
