Everyday Buns

These are the buns I make for everyday use. They make lovely sandwiches.  I have the recipe posted as the base for my apple kuga and cinnamon rolls, but not as a stand alone recipe (ie my daughter didn’t know where to look for it, so I imagine you wouldn’t either). Here it is for all to find…

Bread Dough for Buns
1 1/4 cups milk (warmed)
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp. quick rise yeast

Combine in order listed and put on dough cycle in bread machine.  (Or if you prefer to do it by hand, mix ingredients together and knead dough until stretchy and smooth. Let rise an hour,  punching down once). Form into buns (12-16 depending on the size you want to end up with). Cover and let rise for 45-60 minutes.  Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes, until light brown.
